That’s right, thanks to some very talented friends (see more about them below), you can now play our very own beer-festival-themed adventure at home!

Our adventure uses the Pathfinder game system, set at the annual dwarven ‘Lupulus Festival’. It is designed to be able to play in a single sitting, across 2-3 hours of play - a ‘one-shot.’ There are five characters to choose from, ready-made but ready to embellish (they’re the ones you can see in the beer art!), each with their own skills, interests and foibles.

One of the ways we're celebrating the release of our custom written adventure, is by sharing with you a recipe to one of our Descent To The Dungeon Of Dankness series - Escape From The Temple Of Haze.

It was an absolute star of the Beervana stage, so it's with great pleasure that we pass over the keys to the Temple of Haze itself. Luscious light lager malt and juicy jumbo oats merge with Strata, Simcoe, Riwaka and Citra hops to conjure up a bewitchingly smooth elixir, bursting with seductively sweet citrus and tropical fruit. Allan Henry is a living legend. Andy Serkis who? Actor, stuntman, motion-capture performer and goofball dad, Allan recently returned from his own adventure through the "Feywild" of Ireland's countryside, where he was filming as the titular bear in "Cocaine Bear". Allan has come to the party with GP and written the unique adventure “DESCENT TO THE DUNGEONS OF DANKNESS” for your very own (and our!) beery enjoyment. He loves introducing new players to this wild TTRPG world - he’ll be the game master at all of our live shows and get this: you can even book him for your own session through our mates over at Questbook! UNREAL.

DUNGEONS AND COMEDIANS

The hilarious and talented team at Dungeons & Comedians have partnered up with us to develop our initial one-shot adventure, and to bring it to life! One Sunday a month, at the Little Andromeda Theatre in Christchurch, Dungeon Master Brendon Bennetts challenges some of New Zealand’s best comedians to play TTRPG, with real time illustrations from their resident pictomancer, Andrew Kepple. Described by the Pantograph Punch as “a masterful, hilarious, and genuinely moving piece of collaborative storytelling and world-building” and one of the “most satisfying audience experiences of the year”. Brendon and Allan have been brewing this adventure together - so you know it’ll be good.
