Welcome to the Wild Workshop Cellar Door - your chance to step inside our central Wellington brewery.

We are currently in the Orange setting. Our top priority is the responsibility we have to our punters and our crew's safety. To make our spaces as safe as possible, we have multiple layers of protection in place:

  • all crew wear N95 grade masks
  • we have HEPA filters in each space for optimum air quality + ventilation
  • sanitiser dispensers at every seat and throughout the venue

You have a part to play too! In order to protect our crew and other punters, we ask that you wear a mask to enter our venue, and throughout your visit when not eating or drinking.

We will make completing these steps as easy as possible for you, so we can all get to the good stuff - drinks and yarns! Remember, our crew is operating under the terms mandated by the government and we ask for your patience, understanding, and enthusiastic participation in complying with these.

During the witching hours of Friday and Saturday evenings, we open up our Wild Workshop brewery for you to taste our lovingly crafted liquids in the place where they were made.

The Wild Workshop is our playground for creating all things weird and wonderful: barrel-aged sours, spontaneous ferments, beer-wine hybrids, and tanks brimming with fruit. You'll sit in amongst our amphoras and foeders, soaking up the sights and smells of a working brewery.

We serve tasting flights of all that the Wild Workshop produces, be it wild beer or our natural wine from GP Crushed. Our staff are ready and waiting to talk you through each taste, answer any questions and gently guide you through the world of the wild workshop as needed. The flights change weekly, made up of a mix of taps and bottle pours. If you're feeling peckish we have toasties and build-your-own charcuterie plates to accompany. You can grab flagons of beer and wine from our six taps - BYO flagon or grab one of ours. We highly encourage reusable vessels and have several great options - and we'll fill anything that seals! Single-use plastic is bad for the planet, so every time you refill your PET is a win for the environment. If not the taps, you can grab a selection of cans and bottles from the fridge. We make sure to always have the freshest releases in the fridge, wild or not, alongside singles and six-packs of a range of our classics.

Kids are welcome, with the supervision of their parents or legal guardians. We are devastated to say that doggos can't enter this space - a working brewery! Please bring them by our bar and cellar door in Aro anytime, so that we can lavish them with affection.
