2024 Fresh Hops

The 2024 hop harvest season has drifted by, and there's no doubt that many of you will have come across a 'fresh-hop' can or two out in the wild - some of you even asking 'where is Garage Project?'

Well, good things take time, and oh-boy - have we taken some time.

After a solitary wet-hopped release last season, we're back in full bloom to deliver a hoppy trio for the ages - all with their own verdant twist, because it wouldn't be us without a twist.

"It was a tough harvest, with Nelson experiencing its worst drought since 1973, and a lot of farms picked early out of fear they'd lose their hops. Later-picked hops can offer increased complexity and interesting aromas, but can also develop unpleasant characters when left unchecked. Each of the lots used was hand-selected in the field ensure peak ripeness, free of unwanted aroma, then rushed, chilled, to the brewery. Here, it's all about patience, giving each beer optimum fermentation and cold conditioning time for peak flavour. "
