And there it is, December already. Another FRESH year comes to an end, but it’s going to go out in a hazy blaze of glory!

This golden summery juice bomb of a beer starts with a foundation of light lager, white wheat malt and chitted wheat, designed to lay down a delicate shortbread sweet malt base, with that chit wheat delivering a velvet smooth mouthfeel and a crazy, creamy, dense white foam.

The DEC hop bill ticks off everything on your Xmas wish list. Peacharine and Mosaic Cryo hops in the whirlpool build in blueberry and stone-fruit notes, with the perfect amount of balanced bitterness. Then even more Peacharine and Mosaic go into the dry hop, alongside juicy tropical Krush and a real festive treat, the all new Dolcita.

We’ve only used this hop a couple of times before when it was an experimental variety known as HBC 1019. Back then we thought it smelled and tasted like pineapple, Hubba Bubba bubblegum, and strawberry milkshake, and I’m sticking with that! Now it’s got a name, Dolcita is going to be a great new US hop for the storecupboard when we’re whipping up FRESH treats.
