FRESH June '23

Fresh IPA, a rolling, ever changing, monthly series of one offs, brewed in small batches and available only from our brewery outlets and only while stocks last. Each batch is an opportunity to try a new brewery fresh IPA, unfiltered and unfined, showcasing a unique combination of yeast, malt and hops. Just fun, fresh hoppy beer at its best.

There have been some tough FRESH acts to follow this year, but June’s going to give them a run for their money. An extra helping of rolled oats and wheat in JUNE brings a lovely apricot and fresh white bread sweetness and a luscious dense haze to the beer base. The hop bill is heavily inspired by the recent NZ harvest, with two of what were for us some of the highlight hops from Freestyle’s fields. There’s Peacharine, bursting with juicy stone fruit and tropical punch character, and Riwaka, with a Freestyle lot that has to be one of my all time favourites, loaded with zesty lime and pineapple. To this we’ve added a good whack of Mosaic to really push out the tropical fruit notes. The finished brew is packed with dried mango, lime peel and lemongrass aromatics, with a juicy canned peach palate dusted with mango sherbert and a squeeze of fresh lime, all in an extra smooth hazy base. Summer’s gone, but you can’t help feeling like there’s a little bit of that harvest sunshine in every can.
