They say you eat with your eyes. We think you drink with them too.
It's no secret that we're partial to a good-looking vessel. Artist collaborations have been central to our work since we got started back in 2011 - we always thought that the outside of the can should look as good as the inside tastes. We treat brewing as a form of art, so the partnership with artists makes a lot of sense.
Cut forward to 2026: we're working with a bunch of talented creatives year round to grow every beer from idea to can, with 40 different artists spread across 100+ different beers in 2025 alone. These artists put their own unique spin on every beer's story, and the end product is very much a collaboration - which means finding the right artist is often top of mind, well before the beer is even brewed.
"We like to let artists do their own thing. Over time, we know we can trust them to understand the brand and get the vibe across. The brand is built on our creative community"
Alongside Pete, Jos, and our collaborative partners, we have talented artists working in-house to make sure all of the art is considered, ethical and most importantly, to ensure it makes it onto the can or bottle.
We know it's important for the artists we collaborate with to enjoy the process. Having our own in-house artists at the coalface means our collaborators are working with people who have an intimate understanding of their craft, who can translate ideas from the brain of Pete & Jos into artist-speak.
In this new era of eerie AI-generated content, manually creating art for each release seems like a lot of work - but there's just no comparison in the results.

"when working externally, we'll either go through a pool of artists that we've already worked with, or check out the portfolios that have been sent and reach out from there. We'll liaise with them from brief, to concept, through to final design."

Enter Trent & Sian, Garage Project's dynamic designer duo.
Trent (@trentkokic), Creative Designer has been with Garage Project for 7 years and is responsible for keeping the art wheels moving. Liaising with new and old artists, maintaining the heart of Garage Project's visual identity throughout the waves of constantly shifting art, and even dabbling in a can or two himself.

"If I had to choose a favourite design I've done, it would probably be Golden Path. It's one the first beers I designed here and it's really stood the test of time."
”

Sian (@siandesigns), our versatile 'everything' artist for the past two years, Sian has a particular talent for illustration. Since coming on board, Sian's given us vibrant kistch-collage, 90's Japanese style space-manga, cheeky cartoon motifs and classic GP-style daze designs. Throw a bit of animation in there too for good measure.
“
"If I had to choose a favourite, it would be Zumo Death Ray. A combination of illustration and hand-drawn type. I did a lot of hand-drawn sketches and concepts involving a more pop-culture aesthetic with space characters, weapons, etc."

When they're not creating can art or working through the process with other artists, Trent & Sian can be found working on the thousands of unique creative assets that we use every year as a business. Posters for events, advertisements for social media, mural art in our venues, mock-ups for festival stands - every day is an adventure that brings a new and weird request at GP (and it's usually urgent).
January 2026's Wild Rumpus, a week dedicated to brews from our Wild Workshop, features three cans designed by Trent & Sian. Shout out to them, and to all of the other artists in the GP fam for their fantastic work - past, present and future.
Shop the rumpus here while the beers are still around - and check out our Instagram video for a little insider-footage on the creative process.
