Brewery Tours
For the first time ever in a Garage Project brewery, we can now offer tours through the space - the ultimate sensory exploration! While you can still come in any time during our opening hours and grab tasters or a flight over the counter, a tour is a great way to get a guided sensory experience through the wonders of the Wild Workshop. On these tours, you’ll be taken through a range of weird and wonderful beers and wines made in the brewery as you walk through the barrels and tanks, learning about the process of brewing and cellaring, with some delicious morsels to match.

Welcome to the Wild Workshop Taproom & Cellar Door - your chance to step inside our central Wellington brewery.
The Wild Workshop is our playground for creating all things weird and wonderful: barrel-aged sours, spontaneous ferments, beer-wine hybrids, and tanks brimming with fruit. When visiting, you'll sit in amongst our amphoras and foeders, soaking up the sights and smells of a working brewery.

We have 6 taps of rotating beers, mostly from our Wild Workshop brewery range. Can’t decide on just one? We offer a tasting flight of four beers of your choosing.

Beers to take away?
Grab flagons of beer from our weekly changing offer. Please note sometimes we will have very special beers on tap not available for fill your own flagon takeaway.
BYO flagon or grab one of ours to keep.
We highly encourage reusable vessels and have several great options - and we'll fill anything that seals!
If not the taps, you can grab a selection of cans and bottles from the fridge. We make sure to always have the freshest releases in the fridge, wild or not, alongside singles and six-packs of a range of our classics.
Tasting flights or guided tastings?
You can get yourself a tasting flight of four different beers. You can select them yourselves or choose from our staff picks. Either way you will have a tasting journey ahead!
If you’re looking for more you can book yourself a tour of the Wild Workshop which includes a guided tasting and snacks.
Don’t like beer?
We are dedicated to finding a beer to suit your taste but if that isn’t for you, that’s ok! We also have a range of Garage Project Crushed natural wines, Dirty Water seltzers and plenty of delicious non-alcoholic sodas to keep your whole group happy.

Yes we do reserve tables when available. Please contact wildworkshop@garageproject.co.nz to make a booking.
Venue Hire?
